1. Information we handle

1.1 On-device use: Car name, mileage, services, expenses, theme, and reminder preference stay in Hive on your device. With no sign-in, none of that leaves the phone.

1.2 Account (optional): If you sign in to sync, we use the account email and password. Auth and cloud storage run on Appwrite (Appwrite Cloud). We do not ask for a full name, phone number, or ID.

1.3 Synced data: With sync on, we send car records, maintenance items, service history, and deletions (tombstones) to Appwrite so the same user can see them on another device.

1.4 Receipt photos: You may attach a receipt photo. It stays on the device. If sync is on, the file uploads to your Appwrite storage bucket. We do not use the photo for face recognition or ads.

1.5 Advertising: AutoLog does not show ads and does not use an advertising ID.

2. Android permissions

• Internet: only for sign-in, sync, and opening links (policy and deletion).
• Notifications: a local reminder about 7 days before a service is due. You can turn this off in Settings.
• Camera and photos: requested only if you take or pick a receipt photo.

Denying camera or photos does not block logging a service. Without internet the app still works offline; sign-in and sync fail.

3. Sharing

We do not sell data. If you use sync, processing is handled by Appwrite (account, database, and files for your account). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

4. Retention and deletion

On-device-only data disappears if you uninstall the app or clear its data. Cloud account and copy: request deletion at https://www.almeidatech.online/exclusao-de-conta or via the email below, including your AutoLog account email. We process requests within 5 business days.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

6. Your rights

You may request confirmation, access, correction, or deletion of data under our control. Contact: contato@almeidatech.online.
